About our rates (FAQ)
What does "standard rate" mean?
The standard rate listed to the right is the most accessible rate we can widely provide which still supports our operations.
Do you offer free or reduced rates?
We also offer the space at a discounted rate to BIPOC individuals and organizations (regardless of income) as an offering of reparations. Indigenous individuals and groups can receive free use of the space as coordinated with our Program Manger.
But how can this be? Don't you have bills?
Yes, in fact, we do. We invite individuals and organizations who have the capacity to rent the space at our "Supporter Rate" ($5 more per person per day) to do so in order to help support us in our efforts to make this a space where historically marginalized communities have access to the land.
Check-in and check-out times
Check-in time can be coordinated with Rayna, our Program Manager. Checkout time for overnight use is 2 PM, but you're welcome to extend that by adding on day use for those staying longer.
What does my rental cover?
Any of these rentals will give you access to the land (such as the lovely meadow and creek areas), as well as built retreat infrastructure, which includes the yurt and main house common spaces (kitchen, living room, sundeck, and all-gender restrooms and showers).
The Facilities
Our rustic infrastructure was built starting in the early 1970s, and reflects a charming back-to-the-land aesthetic, while still being well set-up and comfortable to gather in.
Resident Program
Curious about living here?
We also have 7 off-grid cabins and two on-grid homes available for long-term residency. Residents pay membership dues to be a part of the Mariposa community and are committed to Mariposa's purpose of collective liberation through connection, stewardship, and education. Cabin rentals range from $470-$925 per month plus utilities. Most cabins have wood stoves and composting privies, and some have solar electricity. There is no WiFi in the off-grid cabins. On-grid homes have electricity, propane, and the possibility for WiFi. If you would like to introduce yourself and get on the wait-list to be notified of when these cabins become available, please reach out to Rayna, our Program Manager, at raynagracemariposa@gmail.com.

SUPPORT THE WORK
We need your help!
As an organization both serving and sustained by our communities, our ability to continue our work depends on contributions from folks like you! If you are in a position to make a donation, please know that it goes towards:
-
Maintaining our current infrastructure
-
Improving physical accessibility, and
-
Sustaining our capacity to offer free & reduced rates & land access to historically marginalized communities (specifically, Black & Indigenous individuals and organizations & other communities of Color).
We welcome contributions, and recognize that offering is a testament toward your energetic and financial commitment toward helping us fulfill our purpose. We see resource sharing & redistribution as a foundational part of our work towards collective liberation! Thank you for helping manifest this critical cultural work with us!
