Retreat in Ukiah's Oak Woodlands
The Mariposa Mission is to steward the 115 acres of oak woodland given to their care and to offer up this refuge to our local community in Ukiah, California. We are just 8 minutes west of the high school, so while quiet and secluded, it takes no time to arrive in another world.

We invite life-affirming organizations involved in sustainable and humane culture change to be our guests. Hold a relaxed meeting in one of our hand-crafted spaces, or simply enjoy a day off together, surrounded by wildlife and the rustle of the wind in the trees. Depending on the season, cool your feet in our creek or toast them by the wood stove. Overnight retreats and multi-day conferences are possible with our fully equipped kitchen, dining room, 26' diameter carpeted yurt, two dormitories, full baths, and plenty of space to camp.
We offer discounted rates to local non-profits. Contact us to discuss your needs. To make a reservation or arrange a visit, call our office at (707) 462-1016 or email our facility manager, Lew Crockett at mariposainstitute@gmail.com.
